A year of being engaged meant a trip to Belgium, stopping at the absolutely top rate Be Manos hotel in Brussels.

This should have been a barbecue at our place. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we relocated to Jem's sister's and made use of their conservatory and gazebo.

A few days spend in Krakow, going home via Gdansk. Monday's weather was ok with a bit of rain. Tuesday was very warm. Wednesday started fine but the weather getting worse the further north I was, ended up with snow in Gdansk!

Last day of Eurostar services at Waterloo International. Nipped to Antwerp (where it was chucking it down) and then an evening in Brussels.

At last, I managed to get my hands on some Westvleteren beer.

Last year when I was at a stage start, I managed to get quite close. This year, I had no chance at all. Driving all over Belgium to get to the start area didn't help either. Got a couple of good pics of Geraint Thomas though.

It was wet and a bit dismal and I didn't manage to get next to the barriers. Not the best for taking pics!

Time to go home.

I decided to look round Nova Huta - Krakow's Stalinist realist town. All this was funded by the Soviets and built on Krakow's best farmland. Later that evening, a trip round the Christmas Market was due.

Second evening in Krakow. Went to watch Wisla Krakow play Legia Warszawa (ta Mirek). It rained for most of the match, but turned to snow for the last 30 mins so afterwards I wandered around Krakow to take some snowy pics

Please note that some of the pictures feature a yacht titled 'Lady Maura'. This should of cause be spelt 'Lady Moura', but I keep getting lots of hits from Google by keeping the name like this!

A quick search on Google for 'Lady Maura' reveals it is owned by Nasser al-Rashid and at 105m long is the 6th longest in the world. When it was built around 10 years ago, it was reputedly worth GBP 100 million

A man playing with his organ on the train! Kevin Grunhill to be precise - organist at Blackpool North Pier provided the entertainment. More fun was provided by Arriva by swopping units at Sheffield - moving an bl***y great big organ from platform 8 to 4b caused many a laugh!
